Honoring Our Children
Beginning on Shabbat, Nov. 18, the kindergarten through 2nd grade group will be joining the main shul on the bimah for Adon Olam. Please be present to pick up your children from the main shul at the conclusion of Adon Olam.
Shabbat Classes Continue to Have Great Success
Our Shabbat classes keep getting better and better. Our children daven, review the parsha, play games, all in a well supervised environment. Please keep in mind that the groups are a service to parents who would like to daven without having to worry if their children are doing productive things in shul. Please inform your children that they are not allowed to roam the halls and that they are to stay in the group. It is disruptive to everyone when children go in and out of the Shabbat classes.
On Monday of Chol Hamoed, the youth program invited children to make their very own Torahs. The children had a great time creating Torahs and loved showing them off on Simchat Torah.
The children who attended these programs had a great time. Their help in organizing these activities has given them an additional sense of participation in the life of Or Torah and of responsibility to the community.
