3800 Dempster Street, Skokie, IL 60076 Youth Programming The youth committee of Or Torah is very excited to be offering many positive changes and innovations for this school year. As the number of programs is increasing, we felt it important to send this mailing describing all of the exciting programs that we are planning for the beginning of the year. Enclosed, please find Rabbi Well’s personal message to the community as well as an outline of the programs and regulations for the groups that will meet every Shabbat morning.
We are please to make available constructive programming beginning when shul begins, so parents can come to shul in the morning and know that there is a place where their children won’t only be supervised by responsible adults, but also know that shul can be a positive learning experience for them; to be a building block for their futures within the Jewish community.
Two fabulous additions have come to the Or Torah youth staff. Sara Worch, currently a preschool teacher at Akiba Schechter, will be running the preschool group at Or Torah. She has eight years of experience, as well as some preschoolers of her own. Her warm personality and creativity will be an asset to the Shabbat programs, as well as to the community. Tami Schultz will also be joining our staff. She has been a cornerstone in early childhood education in Skokie for many years. The caring and attention that she shows to every child will truly be valued by our shul. We look forward to seeing the success of your children in these programs as well as an increased appreciation for shul and what Or Torah stands for.
Sincerely, Kevin and Avigial Burian
