Women's Tehillim Group

The Women's Tehillim Group began meeting at Congregation Or Torah decades ago in response to the illness of a shul member. The name was changed many years ago to the Doris Goldsmith Women's Tehillim Group in memory of our beloved and devoted group member who served as a roll model for the participants.

Our group meets on Mondays nights at 7:00 PM on Zoom for about 35-40 minutes. Our group includes women from across our community. We read the names on the shul "Cholim" list, as well as those given to us by friends.  We feel that saying Tehillim together is very meaningful, promotes kavana, gives us spiritual fulfillment, and has helped our participants form strong bonds between each other. We invite all women to join us whenever than can and participate in this mitzvah.  Please call or email the shul office (office@ortorah.org) to add a choleh's name to our list or to obtain the Zoom info.
